Construction of an ultra modern church sanctuary, rental car park and business unit began in March 2013 and is set to be completed within the shortest time possible. Upon completion, the project is likely to be the largest single undertaking within the Friends Church (Quakers) fraternity in Kenya. The church sanctuary will host up to 2500 people at any one given time. The basement parking bay will accommodate about 50 vehicles and the business unit will have meeting halls for hire among other things.

Being located in New Donholm Estate, which is part of the populous Eastlands Area of Nairobi County, the upcoming construction will increase the capacity of Friends Church (Quakers), Donholm, to play a bigger role in hosting drama, choir and festivals. Social events such as weddings, funerals and other meetings will also be hosted.

In the past, the church has hosted the ministry of health trainings on polio immunizations among other things. There will now be a bigger venue to host such trainings and others such as being an examination entre.

This project will raise the profile of its present locality and thus add a lot of value to the business men and other property owners of adjoining lands.

Counseling programs that will be provided by the church will greatly benefit not just the residents of Eastlands, but also many others, who may come.
